Prior to Milwaukee: Played baseball Marietta College and owned a 2.37 earned run average in 220.2 innings pitched... struck out 215 batters and finished 18-6 in his four seasons... named ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-American and Gold Glove Pitcher in 2021... also named OAC Kent Tekulve Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-OAC, and D3baseball.com Second Team All-American in 2021.

High School: Played baseball at Badin High School.

Personal: Son of Jeff and Andrea Mathews... pursuing his MBA... chose Milwaukee because the coaches were quick to reach out after deciding to grad transfer and thought it would be a good fit... most memorable sports experience is playing in the Division 3 World Series in 2022... enjoys playing basketball... born on March 16, 2000.
