Entering his 11th season on Rob Jeter’s coaching staff at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Chad Boudreau has achieved success at each of his coaching stops.  Boudreau serves as the Panthers’ recruiting coordinator.

In 10 seasons at Milwaukee, Boudreau has helped the Panthers to four postseason appearances, including NCAA Tournament berths in 2006 and 2014. During his tenure, he has helped develop 11 All-Horizon League players, two of whom were first-team selections, and six members of the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team.

In 2014-15, Boudreau’s efforts helped the program produce multiple All-Horizon League selections for the first time since 2005-06 as Steve McWhorter and Matt Tiby each garnered second team honors. The Panthers finished the season ranked 34th in the nation in free throw percentage (.737) with a mark that ranked second in NCAA Division I program history. Milwaukee closed out the year by winning seven of its final nine games, including each of the last four, and finished with nine Horizon League victories, a two-game improvement from the 2013-14 campaign.

With Boudreau assisting Jeter in 2005-06, the Panthers posted a 22-9 overall record and collected a NCAA Tournament victory over Oklahoma before falling to eventual national champion Florida in the second round. Milwaukee also earned a National Invitation Tournament bid in 2011 and followed that up with a College Basketball Invitational berth in 2012. In 2013-14, Boudreau helped a team that was picked to finish last in the Horizon League win 21 games and earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament thanks to a memorable run in the Horizon League Championship. The Panthers, who won four games in eight days, trailed for only 9:29 of the 165 minutes they played in the Horizon League Championship. Milwaukee’s 13-win increase from the previous season was the best year-to-year improvement in the country in 2014.

Prior to arriving at Milwaukee, Boudreau spent six years as an assistant coach at Indian Hills Community College, where he helped the program to three National Junior College Athletics Association No. 1 rankings and to the NJCAA Final Four in 2000.

His catalog of contacts has proved to be important during his time in Milwaukee and during his tenure at UWM, the Panthers have attracted players from throughout the state of Wisconsin as well as the Midwest, while establishing a wide recruiting base.

At Indian Hills, Boudreau helped 22 players earn NCAA Division I scholarships, including two First Team NJCAA All-Americans and a pair of NBA draft picks. During his stint there, the program flourished, posting a 154-46 record (.770). In 2001-02, Boudreau helped the Falcons to a 29-6 overall record, a fourth-place showing at the national junior college tournament and a No. 10 national ranking in the final NJCAA poll. His work was instrumental in the Falcons posting 25 wins in 2002-03 and 22 victories in 2003-04.

Boudreau had a wide array of responsibilities for the junior college powerhouse, including recruiting, scheduling, strength and conditioning, academic monitoring, individual skill development and marketing. He also held duties away from the basketball court at Indian Hills, serving as a marketing and recruiting counselor.

Prior to his time at Indian Hills, Boudreau was a graduate assistant coach for the women’s basketball team at Hannibal-LaGrange College in Missouri and spent two years as an assistant varsity and head freshman girls basketball coach at Anita High School in Iowa. He also played for two seasons at Hannibal-LaGrange after earning all-state recognition three times at Harmony High School in Iowa.

Boudreau’s wife, Stacy, is the head coach of the highly successful women’s volleyball program at UW-Whitewater. The couple has four children.
