Brandon Chinea joined the Milwaukee baseball staff in December 2021.
“We are thrilled to add Brandon to the staff,” Doffek commented. “He has a very good baseball pedigree and is hungry to get his coaching career started.”
Chinea joins the Panthers after most recently playing in the American Association for the Kane County Cougars in the summer of 2021.
The Miami, Florida native finished his collegiate baseball career at Nova Southeastern University after playing two seasons at the University of Tennessee. Chinea hit .369 in his final season, driving in 10 runs while scoring 14 more in 22 games before the year was cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The middle infielder also played one summer in the Northwoods League for the Kokomo Jackrabbits and recorded a .323/.426/.378 slash line with 24 stolen bases in 47 games.
Chinea graduated from Nova Southeastern in 2021 with a degree in Sport Management.
