Andy Bergholz

Andy Bergholz joins the Milwaukee baseball coaching staff an assistant coach and returns for his second season in 2026. In addition to his coaching duties, he will also focus on player development within the program.

While on the staff, Milwaukee has had five student-athletes earn All-League honors from the Horizon League, including four first-team selections.

Bergholz had most recently been an assistant coach locally at Whitefish Bay High School for the past two seasons, helping lead the team to a 20-win season in 2024.

He had a previous stint with Whitefish Bay as an assistant coach in 2010-2011.
Bergholz is a member of both the American Baseball Coaches Association, as well as the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association.

He played collegiately at UW-Whitewater, and was an All-Academic Student-Athlete, who graduated with honors in 2004.
While with the Warhawks, Bergholz helped the team to its then best-finish at the College World Series, helping the team pick up wins against Salisbury and Brockport at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton. The team also won three WIAC Conference titles during his time in college, reaching the NCAA Regionals in each of those seasons.

He won the 2004 ‘Warhawk Award’ given to the student who serves as a leader by example, while exemplifying academic excellence, leadership, and character.
