American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Division I Mideast All-Region Second-Team and All-Horizon League First-Team selections ... recorded one of the finest seasons for a starting pitcher in UWM program history ... finished the year with a record of 8-3 and a 1.73 earned run average, leading the conference in ERA by over a full run (second was 3.08) in recording the lowest ERA for a starter in program history ... led the league in opponent batting average at .236, while striking out 46 batters in a team-high 83.0 innings of work ... also led the conference in overall victories ... went 6-1 with a 1.60 ERA in league play ... finished sixth in the league in innings pitched and 11th in K's - third in K's looking ... after moving into the starting rotation in early March, went 6-0 in his first seven starts, posting a 0.96 ERA ... when he earned Horizon League Pitcher of the Week honors March 18, it was a career-first ... second time marked a program first, as it was the first time a UWM pitcher ever received the award back-to-back ... when he did it yet again April 1, it marked the first time any pitcher in Horizon League history had ever been honored for three consecutive weeks ... ended up throwing back-to-back shutouts and three complete games in a row at one point, picking up wins over Wright State March 15, UIC March 22 and Valparaiso March 39 ... the last UWM pitcher to throw back-to-back shutouts was in 2007 and no Panther pitcher had ever thrown three complete games in a row ... ran his scoreless-inning streak up to 26.0 to break the school record and approached the Horizon League record of 31.0 ... also blanked Saint Louis in a complete-game win April 12, giving up just five hits ... set a career-high with eight K's in 7.0 innings against Youngstown State May 11 to set up UWM's regular-season title-clinching win the following day ... once again fanned eight in the Horizon League Tournament, knocking off Wright State May 24 with a complete game, walking none and giving up just five hits and one run ... his three shutouts set a school mark and were second in the NCAA ... five complete games were the most for a UWM starter in 10 years ... career winning percentage of .786 (11-3) ranks third all-time ... U.S. Army ROTC Athlete of the Month in March ... College Sports Madness Horizon League Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-Conference ... also named Horizon League Player of the Week by College Sports Madness March 26.
