Capped his sophomore year taking third in the 200 freestyle, fourth in the 100 free and sixth in the 500 free at the Midwest Invitational Feb. 17-18 ... turned in impressive season-best times at that meet ... started the season taking 12th in the 100 free and 21st in the 200 free at the All Wisconsin Showcase Oct. 22 ... finished tied for sixth in the 100 free and seventh in the 200 free one week later against Wright State ... came in 33rd in the 200 free, 40th in the 100 free and 54th in the 50 free at the mid-season Miami Invitational Dec. 1-3 ... had a fourth-place finish in the 200 free in a win over Wheaton Jan. 14.

Finished his freshman season on a strong note, taking first in both the 100 and 200 freestyle at the Midwest Invitational Feb. 12-13 … also came in fifth in the 500 free and ninth in the 100 back at the Midwest Invite … made his collegiate debut Oct. 17 against GVSU … was fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 free in a win at Wheaton Nov. 6 … one day later, came in third in the 100 free and fourth in the 200 free at UIC … placed 24th in the mile, 33rd in the 200 free and 34th in the 100 free at Milwaukee’s midseason meet at Iowa Dec. 4-6 … returned from training trip taking seventh in both the 100 and 200 free against Chicago Jan. 16 … helped UWM to a team win over Green Bay Jan. 30, taking third in the 100 free and sixth in the 200 free.

A two-time All-American at Klein High School ... won two state titles with the Bearkats - one in the 200 free relay and one in the 400 free relay ... time of 3:02.32 in the 400 free relay broke the Texas state record set back in 2010 ... also competed in ultimate frisbee.
