2017-18 (Senior)
Capped his four-year Panther career taking 11th in both the 50 free (20.77) and 100 back (50.23) at the Horizon League Championships ... also scored with four relay squads, taking third in the 400 free relay, fourth in the 200 free relay and seventh in both the 200 and 400 medley relays ... had a busy day at the All Wisconsin Showcase, taking third in the 50 free, eighth in the 200 back and ninth in the 100 back Oct. 21 ... touched the wall first in the 100 back at Valpo Oct. 27 to help Milwaukee to a team win ... duplicated that feat one week later against Wheaton ... came in eighth in the 100 back, 11th in the 50 free and 23rd in the 200 back at the Miami Invitational Nov. 30-Dec. 2 ... was runner-up in the 50 free at Chicago Jan. 20 ... one week later, topped the field in the 50 free and was runner-up in the 100 back against Green Bay ... also competed in the unique 100 IM once on the year, taking second in 52.87 ... in all, posted 12 top-four finishes on the season, including three wins.
2016-17 (Junior)
Finished seventh in the 100 backstroke, 19th in the 50 free and 20th in the 200 back at the Horizon League Championships ... also helped the 200 free relay team and the 400 medley relay team both take fourth at the league meet ... started the year taking ninth in the 100 back, 11th in the 200 back and 17th in the 50 free at the All Wisconsin Showcase Oct. 22 ... topped the field in the 100 back against Wright State Nov. 6 ... one week later, came in runner-up in the same event against UIC ... at the mid-season Miami Invitational Dec. 1-3, finished 11th in the 100 back, 20th in the 200 back and 31st in the 50 free ... returned from training trip to win the 100 back in a win over Chicago Jan. 14 ... one week later, was third in the same event and fourth in the 200 back at the UIC Invite ... also swam the 100 IM once on the season.
2015-16 (Sophomore)
Closed out his sophomore season taking 10th in the 100 backstroke, 16th in the 200 back and 24th in the 50 free at the Horizon League Championships … also helped the 200 medley relay take fifth at the league meet … kicked off the season with a win in the 200 back and a runner-up finish in the 100 back against GVSU Oct. 17 … followed that up by taking second in the 100 back, second in the 50 free and eighth in the 200 back at the All Wisconsin Invite Oct. 24 … one week later, was again second in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 back at Wright State … took third in the 100 back in a win at Wheaton Nov. 6 … finished 18th in the 100 back, 22nd in the 200 back and 40th in the 50 free at Milwaukee’s midseason meet at Iowa Dec. 4-6 … again placed runner-up in the 100 back in back-to-back meets against Chicago and Green Bay Jan. 16 and 30.
2014-15 (Freshman)
Competed in primarily backstroke events as a freshman ... scored in two events, taking 12th in the 100 back and 13th in the 200 back at the Horizon League Championships as a freshman ... also competed in the 50 free at the league meet, taking 17th ... made collegiate debut Oct. 10 vs. Oakland, taking third in the 200 back and fifth in the 200 freestyle ... finished runner-up in the 200 back and seventh in the 200 free against Wright State Oct. 31 ... placed 15th in both backstrokes at the Iowa Hawkeye Invitational ... was fourth in the 200 back at Northwestern Jan. 16 ... one day later, won the 200 back and was second in the 100 back in a win over Chicago ... again finished runner-up in the 100 back against Ball State/IUPUI.
High School
Swam all four years at Waukesha South High School ... earned all-state, all-state honorable mention and All-American consideration honors while at WSHS ... also swam club for Waukesa Express.

Son of Patrick and Debra Gerum ...has had two cousins earn trips to Olympic Trials in swimming ... born May 25, 1996.
