MILWAUKEE – Emily Urban of the Milwaukee women's soccer team has been named the Horizon League Under Armour Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced earlier this afternoon.
 
Urban, a freshman defender, played a key role in Milwaukee's 2-0 week, helping lead the team defense to back-to-back dominant performances.
 
It started Thursday, allowing just five total shots - none on goal - in a 1-0 win over Oakland. It continued Sunday, limiting Detroit Mercy to just nine shots - only one on goal - in the 3-0 victory. Two games, 180 minutes on the field, just one total shot on goal allowed.
 
Urban also picked up an assist on offense in the victory against the Titans, with the second MKE goal coming off of her free kick.
 
The league honor is the first of the fall season for the program.
