Dear Panther Fans and Supporters,
As summer continues across Milwaukee, it's a great time to reflect on an outstanding year for Milwaukee Athletics and look ahead to the excitement of the seasons to come. The 2025-26 academic year brought remarkable success for our student-athletes, coaches, and staff—made possible by your continued support and belief in our mission.
Excellence starts in the classroom, and our student-athletes once again delivered. This spring marked the 52nd consecutive semester (26 years) with a cumulative GPA above 3.0, while 53 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. Their dedication and discipline continue to define what it means to be a Panther.
Our teams also achieved tremendous success in competition. Women's soccer won its eighth straight Horizon League Championship and advanced to its 19th NCAA Tournament. Women's tennis earned a share of the Horizon League regular-season title, and Sam Lorenz became the first male student-athlete in program history to qualify for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
One of the year's most memorable accomplishments came from our baseball team, which captured the Horizon League Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Regional Final. Their postseason run generated national attention, with millions of social media impressions and widespread media coverage that showcased Milwaukee Athletics on a national stage.
Beyond competition, our student-athletes and staff completed more than 2,400 hours of community service throughout Greater Milwaukee, demonstrating their commitment to leadership and service.
None of this would be possible without you—our fans, donors, season ticket holders, students, faculty, staff, and corporate partners. Your support creates opportunities for our student-athletes to succeed academically, athletically, and personally.
This year also brought new leadership. Chancellor Thomas Gibson has been a strong supporter of Panther Athletics since arriving at UWM, and we were pleased to welcome Jill Bodensteiner as the Horizon League's new commissioner this spring.
As we prepare for another exciting year, I remain grateful for our student-athletes and staff, whose hard work, character, and commitment represent UWM with pride every day.
I too am thankful for the tremendous support from our donors this past year. A total of 1,009 gifts were given to support our student-athletes. And there were over 200 first-time donors to Milwaukee Athletics! If you’d like to support the Panthers through a contribution, we would greatly appreciate your gift. Plus, season tickets for men’s basketball and women’s basketball are currently on sale.
Be sure to mark your calendars—our first regular-season home event is August 20. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus and creating another memorable year together.
Thank you for your continued support of Milwaukee Athletics.
Go Panthers!
