MILWAUKEE – Tre Norman of Boston, Mass., will transfer into the program and play for the Milwaukee men's basketball team next season, with the signing officially announced by head coach
Bart Lundy today.
Norman is a familiar name to local basketball fans, having spent his first three collegiate seasons at nearby Marquette.
"We are so excited to add Tre to our 2026 recruiting class," Lundy said. "His experience in the Big East conference will be invaluable. Tre is an exceptional leader, and people will be shocked at his production here at Milwaukee. He is a terrific addition to our campus community, and we are thrilled to keep him in the city of Milwaukee."
Norman has appeared in 94 career games and has consistently provided depth and versatility off the bench for the Golden Eagles in his three seasons, contributing 2.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in an average of 8.7 minutes a night.
During the 2025-26 season, the 6-foot, 4-inch, 205-pound guard played in 30 of Marquette's 32 contests, highlighted by a pair of nine-point performances against Providence and Little Rock.
As a sophomore in 2024-25, he matched his career high with nine points against Seton Hall, appearing in all 34 games over the course of the campaign.
His freshman year also saw him appear in 34 games, highlighted by a nine-point outing on 3-of-4 shooting against UConn and a strong outing versus Providence with eight points, two rebounds, two steals, and two assists.
A former top-100 national recruit, Norman was ranked No. 89 overall by 247Sports coming out of Worcester Academy. He played a key role in leading the Hilltoppers to the NEPSAC Class AA Championship in 2021-22 under head coach Jamie Sullivan, scoring 17 points in the title game as part of a 23-7 season. Norman earned All-NEPSAC Class AA honors after averaging 19.3 points and 7.5 rebounds a game.
On the grassroots circuit, Norman competed with Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC), where he averaged over 20 points per game at the prestigious EYBL Peach Jam, further cementing his reputation as an elite scorer.
