MADISON, Wis. – The Milwaukee women's tennis team wrapped up its season-opening weekend in Madison, falling to Harvard by a final score of 4-0 Sunday morning from Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
The Panthers (0-2) saw the going tough against the Crimson (3-2), losing the doubles point to open the day despite a strong showing from
Nadiia Konieva and
Sara Simonova at No. 2, tied 4-4 when the doubles point was clinched.
"The team competed hard this weekend," head coach
Mark Goldin said. "These were our first two matches of the season, and we faced very tough competition. We improved every game and played with great energy, and we are ready for our Chicago State home match Tuesday."
Up next, the Panthers will host a pair of home matches to jump headfirst into the 2026 campaign, welcoming Chicago State Tuesday and Illinois State Saturday. Action Tuesday and Saturday takes place at River Glen Elite, the home of MKE Tennis, which is located at 2001 Good Hope Road in Milwaukee (53209), a half-mile west of I-43 between River Hills and Glendale.
