This Fall 2025 issue is highlighted with a feature story on Milwaukee Director of Athletics Amanda Braun.
 
The story chronicles her growing role with the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee, a group she will chair for the upcoming basketball season. She will lead the way when the tournament field is selected in March, a prestigious position and a tremendous honor for the Panther leader.
 
Braun entered her 13th full year in her role in 2025-26. The first-ever female to hold that position at Milwaukee, Braun was named the 2025 National Girls and Women in Sports Day Champion Leadership Award Recipient. In August of 2023, Braun was selected as the NCAA Division I Nike Executive of the Year by Women Leaders in College Sports.
 
The story is authored by Gary D'Amato, the former longtime sportswriter and columnist for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, who joined the staff as the feature writer for the Roar Report in September of 2018.
