MILWAUKEE - In just his second outing as a Panther, Sam Lorenz earned Horizon League Swimmer of the Week honors after winning all four of his events at the Wisconsin Showcase, hosted at Carthage College.

In the 100 Backstroke, Lorenz recorded a time of 47.37. He also clocked a time of 1:47.63 in the 200 Backstroke, setting a program record that had stood since 2009 (previously set by Jeremy Waldhart).

He contributed to Milwaukee's first-place finishes in both the 200 Freestyle Relay and 200 Medley Relay as well, playing key roles in each victory.

As a team, the Panthers swept all 16 events at the Wisconsin Showcase.

Lorenz and the Milwaukee swimming & diving teams look ahead to Halloween night when they host Wheaton (Ill.) at the Klotsche Natatorium. Action begins at 5 p.m.
