MILWAUKEE – BJ Freeman of the Milwaukee men's basketball team has been named the Under Armour Horizon League Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
 
The league honor is the first of the season for Freeman and the fourth of his career.

Freeman helped lead the Panthers to a 2-0 week, averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game as Milwaukee topped Purdue Fort Wayne and IUPUI. He shot .469 (15-of-32) from the field and .500 (6-of-12) from deep, adding four steals and a pair of blocks overall.
 
Freeman scored 26 against the Mastodons, including seven decisive points late when MKE was trailing, leading the team to the final nine points of the contest to grab the 68-65 come-from-behind win. He then added 19 points in the win over IUPUI Sunday.
