Milwaukee Athletics Releases Next Episode Of “PounceCast”

July 17, 2023

MILWAUKEE – The next episode of the "PounceCast" – the newest feature that provides more content and helps tell the stories behind Milwaukee Panther Athletics – is available as of today.

The podcast, hosted by Matt Menzl, is designed to take listeners behind the scenes with key members of the Panther community.

The next episode (27:56), which features former MKE women's soccer hall-of-famer Sarah Hagen, is available HERE.

Hagen (2008-11) was not only one of the most dominant players in Panther history, but also in NCAA history as she finished ninth on the NCAA Division I scoring chart with 93 goals, while her 212 points ranked 17th. In addition to her numerous individual accomplishments, which included being a four-time All-Horizon League and All-America selection, as well as a three-time Horizon League Player of the Year pick, the Appleton, Wisconsin, native helped Milwaukee to four straight regular-season league titles and four NCAA Tournament berths. Behind the feats of Hagen, the Panthers compiled a 61-19-7 (.741) overall record and an impressive 29-3-0 (.906) ledger in Horizon League play.

Hagen was a two-time semifinalist for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy, which is presented to college soccer's top player. She also competed for the U.S. U23 National Team at the Four Nations Tournament in 2011, scoring a goal in each of her team's three matches, going on to earn a pair of caps for the USA Women's National Team in 2014.

She is currently an assistant on the staff of the Green Bay Glory (USL) and retired from a professional career in 2018 that featured time with the Houston Dash, Orlando Pride, and FC Kansas City in the USA, as well as FC Bayern Munich overseas (2012-13).

The Milwaukee Athletic Department announced the creation of this new monthly podcast back in January.
