Milwaukee Men’s Basketball Completes Roster With Wilson

Lundy rounds out roster with impact transfer

May 24, 2023

MILWAUKEE – Head coach Bart Lundy has officially announced that Langston Wilson of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, has signed to play for the Milwaukee men's basketball team.

A 6-foot, 9-inch, 215-pound forward, Wilson arrives in Milwaukee as a graduate transfer following two seasons at Washington, where he appeared in 18 games for the team this past winter.

"We are excited about the signing of Langston to our program," Lundy said. "He fits our system as a player and is an elite human being who will add so much to our program and our campus. On the floor, Langston will show off NBA-level athleticism and a terrific skill set on both sides of the ball. We are excited that we will be a part of Langston's journey."

Wilson averaged 1.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in limited minutes (6.2 mpg) this past season, but did shoot 51.7 percent from the floor and put together a season-high eight points and five rebounds against Idaho State in December.  He played in 28 games the year prior, averaging 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest while posting season-highs of 11 points against UCLA and 12 rebounds against Wyoming.

Prior to his stop at Washington, Wilson was rated as the No. 2 JUCO player in the country by 247 Sports Composite after playing one season at Georgia Highlands College in 2019-20. That winter, he averaged 10.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 54 percent from the floor in 32 games. He helped lead the team to a 24-8 overall record and a 13-3 mark in the Georgia Collegiate Athletics Association (GCAA), reaching the conference championship game. Wilson was named to the GCAA All-Freshman and Honorable Mention All-Region teams.

Wilson, whose father played collegiately at Villanova, was unable to play organized high school basketball at Bonner-Prendergast due to a medical condition. He originally signed to play at Alabama before joining UW for the past two years.
