INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time this season, Milwaukee freshman guard
Kamy Peppler was selected as the Horizon League Rookie of the Week for the 15th week of the 2022-23 season.

Peppler helped the Panthers to a 1-1 record this week, which included a win over Youngstown State on Friday, 75-54. In the win over the Penguins, she scored 11 points and pulled down four rebounds with seven assists and three steals. She went 4-of-6 from the field including 2-of-3 from behind the arc.

She followed that up with a six-point performance against Robert Morris on Sunday, where she went 3-of-6 from the floor and had one rebound with a steal.

She finished the week averaging 8.5 points per game, while also leading the Panthers with seven assists off the bench this week. From the field, she connected on 58.3 percent and was 40.0 percent from three.

On the season, Peppler has played in all 26 of the team's games with starts in 11 contest and has averaged 24.0 minutes per game. She has 57 field goals and leads all Horizon League freshmen with 27 made three-point field goals. She currently leads Milwaukee with 83 assists, good enough for seventh in the conference and tops among freshmen in the conference. Peppler has also totaled 64 rebounds, 24 steals and a pair of blocks during her first season with the team.

This is her second selection as the Horizon League Freshman of the Week, having also earned the award on January 9.

Milwaukee wraps up the regular season this week with a pair of home games beginning with Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday evening at 5 p.m., before the regular season comes to a close on Saturday against Cleveland State at 1 p.m.
