CHICAGO – During the team's Saturday trip to Loyola Chicago, the Milwaukee women's basketball team fell to the host Ramblers by a score of 60-47 at the Gentile Arena.

Milwaukee led 39-38 heading into the fourth quarter but were unable to get their offense or defense restarted after outscoring the Ramblers 31-23 in the middle two quarters. Ultimately, the Ramblers outscored Milwaukee 22-8 in the final period to pick up the win.

The Panthers led in field goal percentage as MKE had connected on 45.0 percent from the field and were also 42.9 percent from three. The Ramblers were only able to convert on 38.0 percent from the floor and just 23.5 percent from three but took advantage of 13 offensive rebounds and 27 Panther turnovers.

Loyola also got to the free throw line 19 times and converted on 16 of those attempts, while Milwaukee was only awarded seven trips to the line and made five.

The Panthers made six three-pointers on the night, including four in the second period. Leading Milwaukee with three three-pointers was
Kendall Nead, as she finished the game 6-for-13 overall with a game high 16 points.

Kamy Peppler and
Jorey Buwalda each had seven points, including one three-pointer apiece, as Peppler had six rebounds, four assists, and tied her career-best with four steals.
Anna Lutz had four points and had all three of the Panther blocks on the game for a new career high.

Jada Donaldson added five points including a late three-pointer, while
Angie Cera along with
Grace Crowley each tallied four on the afternoon.

The Ramblers led early in the game with the first two field goal makes of the game before Lutz got the Panthers on the board with a layup. Milwaukee was able to close the gap to one score on a layup by Nead, but the Ramblers extended its lead back to seven on a pair of free throws late in the first to take a 15-8 lead after the opening 10 minutes.

Neither side was able to convert on shots early in the second quarter, but the Panthers got hot off Milwaukee's first make of the period on a driving layup by Peppler. After a free throw by the Ramblers, MKE went back-to-back from three from both Nead and Peppler to tie the game at 16.

With the Panthers trailing by a pair at 20-18 with two minutes to go in the half, Nead took advantage of a Loyola turnover and drilled a three-pointer to give Milwaukee its first lead of the game at 21-20. The Ramblers regained the lead on a make before Buwalda connected on a three-pointer from the top of the arc to send the Panthers into the locker room with a 24-22 advantage.

In the third, Milwaukee led wire-to-wire and build its lead up to eight points at 37-29 as Buwalda added a pair from the line. Loyola scored the next six to get back within two with 2:14 left in the period before Peppler ended the run with a jump shot in the paint. The Ramblers connected on a three-pointer in the final minute to slide the Panther lead back down to one at 39-38.

Loyola took the lead back on the first make of the fourth quarter and did not turn back, building a 12-point lead at 52-40. Milwaukee put an end to the run as Donaldson had a left wing three-pointer to make it a three-score game. After a rebound by Lutz on a defensive stop, she then got a putback layup to make the score 52-45.

The Panthers were unable to get any closer as the Ramblers came out on top, 60-47.

Milwaukee will be back in action on Friday evening for its final non-conference road game of the season, as the Panthers will take on Eastern Illinois at 6 p.m. on December 15.
