Trio Earns All-League Honors

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Ari Miller, Madi Malone, and Natalie Schmitz each earned postseason honors, as announced by the Horizon League office on Thursday morning.

Miller was named All-League First Team, Malone collected All-League Second Team honors, and Schmitz earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.

Miller becomes just the fifth player in Horizon League history to earn four First Team selections. Despite missing five matches due to injury, Miller has once again shown that she's one of the top threats in the league. She ranks among the league leaders in hitting percentage (3rd, .334), kills per set (8th, 3.21), blocks (8th, 1.02), and points per set (4th, 3.90).

Malone has been a major contributor both offensively and defensively for the second straight season, totaling a team-high 287 kills and ranking second on the team with 284 digs. The sophomore finished the regular season with 10 double-doubles.

In her first season, Schmitz has been a welcomed addition as she piled up 279 kills (2.17 per set), 60 digs, 31 blocks, and seven aces. Schmitz put up at least 10 kills on 14 different occasions this season.

The Panthers finished 9-9 in league play and hold the No. 5 seed for the Horizon League Championships. MKE will open the postseason with No. 4 Cleveland State on Friday at 5:00 pm CT from Dayton, Ohio.
