Pair Of Panthers Earn Horizon All-Academic Team Honors

Both earn honorable mention honors

MILWAUKEE – Logan Farrington and Raul Medina of the Milwaukee men's soccer team have been named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team, announced today by the league office.

Both players were recognized as Honorable Mention selections and both are career-first honors for the student-athletes for this award.

Farrington is once again a main piece of the offensive puzzle for the Panthers, leading the team in points with 15 (6G/3A) and goals with six. He has been a First-Team All-Horizon League selection each of his first two seasons and also leads the team in shots (51) and shots on goal (23). Among league leaders, the Business Management major and Horizon League Academic Honor Roll member
sits third in shots, second in shots on goal, tied for fourth in goals, and fifth in total points. In league-only games, he is third with 1.29 points-per-game.

Medina, a team captain, continues to flourish for the Panthers and is having another solid season on the field, making 12 starts in 13 appearances while sitting fourth on the team in scoring with 10 points (3G/4A). The Industrial Engineering major is a regular member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests. An Honorable Mention team is awarded to student-athletes who received at least 25 percent of votes, but did not make the All-Academic team.
