MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Natalie Schmitz matched a season-high with 15 kills to help lead the Milwaukee volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Robert Morris.

Milwaukee (8-14, 7-4 Horizon League) capitalized on RMU miscues in the first, earning a 25-17 victory. The Colonials had six service errors while MKE tallied four aces of their own. Schmitz put away five kills to power the Panthers.
Schmitz and
Bri Geurts shouldered the load in the second, combining for nine kills on 13 swings. Milwaukee got out to an early seven-point advantage and put away the frame with a 7-0 run to make it 19-7. RMU had a late run, but Schmitz put away another kill to end it and give MKE a 2-0 advantage.
In the third, the Colonials (8-15, 1-10 Horizon League) and Panthers battled to a 12-12 tie before MKE broke it open. Four different Panthers then recorded kills in a 6-2 run to make it 18-14. RMU bounced back with consecutive kills, but another big 7-1 run gave MKE the sweep.
Schmitz put away five kills in each set and hit .375 for the match.
Madi Malone added seven kills and a team-high 14 digs while Geurts also chipped in seven kills and two aces.
Kara Erdmann totaled 12 digs, her third straight game in double figures.
The Panthers will head to Youngstown State tomorrow for a 3:00 pm battle with the Penguins.
