Vincent Miszkiewicz Signs With MKE Men’s Basketball

Averaged a double-double last season

MILWAUKEE – Vincent Miszkiewicz has signed with the Milwaukee men's basketball team, head coach Pat Baldwin announced today.

Miszkiewicz, a 6-foot 7-inch forward, comes to Milwaukee after playing last season at Purdue University Northwest, where he was named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team and All-Defensive Team in his one season with the Pride.

"I am very excited to add Vincent to our program," Baldwin said. "Vincent has a very good basketball IQ and he provides an excellent skill set to our program. His size and versatility are great attributes for how we want play. He is an excellent student and gets it done in the classroom as well."

Due to current NCAA transfer requirements, he will have to sit out the 2021-22 season but will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Miszkiewicz averaged a double-double, putting up 12.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game for PNW last winter, leading the GLIAC and ranking among the Top 10 in the nation in rebounds per game. He led the league in double-doubles, shot 50 percent (71-of-142) from the floor and 88.4 percent (38-of-43) from the line, while adding 2.3 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 1.0 steals per contest.

He posted a 26-point/16-rebound effort against Ferris State in February, while also grabbing a school record 21 rebounds against Ashland.

Miszkiewicz spent his freshman season at the University of Incarnate Word (Texas), where he averaged 6.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots. He made 29 starts among his 31 appearances, leading the team in field-goal percentage (.542), rebounds (222), and blocks (34), while posting a pair of double-doubles.

That followed a high school career at South Elgin (Ill.) where he was twice named all-conference and all-area, while also picking up honorable mention all-state accolades. He averaged 19.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 3.2 assists and 2.3 blocks during his senior year, leading the team to a regional championship and a sectional finals appearance. He was also a three-time all-academic team member, earning a 3.8 grade-point average.
