MILWAUKEE, Wis. –
Ari Miller of the Milwaukee volleyball team was named to this year's Horizon League All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
To be eligible for the Horizon League All-Academic team, student-athletes must participate in 50 percent of the team's overall games, completed one year at the school, and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
It marks the first All-Academic Team honor for Miller, who owns a 3.98 GPA in her work toward a degree in health care administration. Miller was also named All-League First Team after an impressive year in the middle, leading the Panthers with 161 total kills, a .342 attack percentage, and 42 blocks. She averaged 4.06 points per set and reached double figures in nine of MKE's 14 matches this year.
The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with season Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports.
