MILWAUKEE, Wis. – For the second straight season,
Ari Miller and
Jess Grabowski earned postseason awards, announced by the Horizon League office on Friday morning.
Miller was named All-League First Team once again after an impressive season in the middle for Milwaukee. The sophomore led Milwaukee with 161 total kills, a .324 attack percentage, and 42 blocks. Miller averaged 4.06 points per set and reached double figure kills in nine of the Panthers' 14 matches this season.
Leading the defense, Grabowski paced Milwaukee with 211 digs, averaging 5.02 per set as she was named All-League Second Team. That number also put her third in the Horizon League ranks. It marks the second straight season the junior averaged at least 5.0 digs per frame. Additionally, Grabowski totaled 37 assists, and seven aces.
Milwaukee finished the condensed season 8-6 in Horizon League action, winning four in a row to close the year. Three of the last four victories were sweeps for the Panthers.
