MILWAUKEE – Logan Farrington of the Milwaukee men's soccer team has been named Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
The award is the second of the season for the Panthers (
Nick Chiappa was named Defensive Player of the Week Feb. 26) and the first of Farrington's career.
Farrington posted his second multi-goal game of the season, helping Milwaukee to a convincing 4-0 victory over IUPUI Wednesday.
He put together a brilliant first half, scoring the eventual game-winner in the 11th minute. He then worked a give-and-go to assist goal No. 2 for MKE and scored again before the half, heading in a corner kick in the 38th minute for his fifth goal of the season.
Farrington finished with a game-high five shots in posting the 2G/1A outing, four of which were on goal. He is the first MKE freshman to earn a weekly league award since
Freddy Lorenzen in 2017.
