Miller Honored as AVCA Honorable Mention All-American

Milwaukee’s first All-American honor since 2011

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Ari Miller of the Milwaukee volleyball team earned a nod on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-American team, announced by the organization Wednesday morning.

Miller joins an elite group of just 11 other Panthers in program history to earn All-American status and the most recent since Rachel Neuberger and Kerri Schuh in 2011. She is just one of six to earn AVCA All-America recognition since Milwaukee joined NCAA Division I in 1990.

Of the 96 Division I student-athletes to earn either First Team, Second Team, Third Team, or Honorable Mention distinction, Miller is the only Horizon League volleyball player mentioned.

The junior did it all for Milwaukee as she helped lead the Panthers to a 22-9 overall record and 16-2 mark in Horizon League play for MKE's 14th regular season title and first since 2013.

The award adds to Miller's already full list of honors from this year including AVCA All-Region, Horizon League Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and First Team All-League. She was also named Horizon League Player of the Week four times, the most of any player this season.

In 31 matches, Miller led the league with a .387 attack percentage and finished third in kills per set (3.57) and fourth in points per set (4.09). Miller also set new career highs in total kills (411) and attack percentage (.387) and added 32 digs and 83 blocks.
