Panthers Top Muskies, 16-2

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Milwaukee baseball team tallied 16 runs on 22 hits, claiming a 16-2 win over Lakeland Tuesday evening at Henry Aaron Field.

The Panthers (14-10) platted runs in nearly every inning, and put up crooked numbers in the second and sixth inning to secure a mid-week win over the Muskies (0-13).

Milwaukee jumped out to a lead right out of the gates when Trevor Schwecke hit his second home run of the season for an early 1-0 lead.

The Panthers lead then grew to a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the second when the team put together a five run, six hit inning.

The Muskies tallied two single run innings (third and sixth), but it was not enough to keep up with Milwaukee when they added two four-run innings to put the game away.

Colin Kreiter, Oakland Scanlan and Schwecke led the way with three hits each.

Zach Nogalski chipped in with two hits, three RBI and a run, while Joe Vyskocil went 2-for-5 with two RBI.

Alex McIntosh picked up his fourth win of the season allowing just three hits and one run.

Milwaukee hit the road Wednesday travelling just across the border to take on Northern Illinois from Ralph McKinzie Field. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
