Postseason Seeding On The Line Saturday For MKE, IUPUI

Panthers will look to avenge one-point, OT loss to Jags earlier this season

MILWAUKEE – Heading into the final game of the regular season, a lot is still on the line as Milwaukee and IUPUI are set to tip off Saturday at 1 pm Central from The Jungle. The Panthers and Jaguars once again had a memorable battle, with IUPUI claiming a 67-66 win from Milwaukee earlier this season. Saturday's contest can be streamed live online on ESPN3, with Matt Menzl on the radio broadcast at MKEPanthers.com.

LOOKING AT THE JAGUARS
The Jaguars are coming off a tough 45-43 loss to Green Bay Thursday and enter Saturday's contest with an 18-10 overall record and sit tied for third with Youngstown State in the Horizon-League standings at 12-5.

IUPUI is led by conference player of the year favorite Macee Williams, who is averaging 16.8 points and 9.0 rebounds/game as a sophomore.

Saturday marks "Senior Day" for the Jags, with Tamya Sims, Sydney Hall and Allex Brown playing their final regular season home contest on their home court.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET
Macee Williams' second free throw attempt bounced around the rim four times before falling with 0.7 seconds left on the clock to give IUPUI a 67-66 overtime win over Milwaukee Thursday evening from the Klotsche Center.

Megan Walstad, McKaela Schmelzer and Sydney Staver all tallied career highs in the scoring column for Milwaukee (9-10, 4-4 Horizon), but the Jaguars (12-7, 6-2 Horizon) were able to get the friendly roll to end MKE's win streak at four.

Walstad led all players with 21 points on 9-14 shooting. The freshman also brought it four rebounds and had a pair of blocks, steals and assists.

Schmelzer flirted with a triple-double for a little while before finishing with 14 points – a career high – six rebounds and five assists.

SERIES HISTORY
MKE and IUPUI only have three meetings in Division-I history. The Jaguars have posted a pair of last-second wins at Milwaukee, while the Panthers notched a 67-60 win inside The Jungle last year.

UP NEXT
Milwaukee will start the Horizon League Tournament on the road, with the opponent and game date still to be determined.
