MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Thanks to yet another impressive week,
Ari Miller was named Nike® Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week by the league office.
The award marks Miller's second of her career, the first coming just two weeks ago on September 23.
In a pair of victories, Miller put away 28 total kills, averaging 3.5 per set. The freshman landed attacks at a .453 clip. In a 3-2 victory over Cleveland State on Friday night, Miller put away 16 kills to go along with a pair of blocks.
Miller followed that with a 12-kill performance in a 3-0 sweep of Youngstown State, hitting a season-best .611. The Jackson, Wisconsin native has reached double-digit kills in 12 matches this season and leads the Horizon League with a hitting percentage of .334.
With the two victories, Milwaukee pushed its winning streak to 14 and moved to 17-1 overall and 4-0 in the Horizon League.
