MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's basketball team has added Omar Thielemans to the roster, head coach
Pat Baldwin announced today.
"We are excited to welcome Omar to the Panther Basketball family," Baldwin said. "Omar is a high-caliber transfer from the University of Arizona who adds a great ability as a playmaker and brings a lot of versatility. He is a great kid and he will complement our current roster very well along with the newcomers we have already signed."
Thielemans joins the Panthers after spending the first semester at Arizona.
Thielemans, who is from Belgium and carries a four-star rating from the major recruiting services, committed to UA head coach Sean Miller last summer but never officially played for the Wildcats.
A 6-foot-7 forward, Thielemans will officially be eligible to play for the Panthers following the completion of the first semester next season, per NCAA transfer regulations.
