VALPARAISO, Ind. – The Milwaukee baseball team recorded a 23-5 loss to host Valparaiso from Emroy Bauer Field Wednesday evening.
Milwaukee (11-18) struggled on both ends of the field against former Horizon League foe Valparaiso (10-18) who scored in every inning but one.
The Panthers found themselves in a the hole early giving up seven runs on four hits and a Panther error in the first inning.
Valparaiso continued to stack runs scoring in every inning but one, keeping the game out of reach for the Panthers.
Milwaukee hit double digit hits on the day with 11, but were unable to string together a big inning.
Tyler Bordner in the sixth and
Zach Nogalski in the eighth, crushed doubles to left center for two RBI each highlighting the Panthers offense on the day.
Trevor Schwecke led all Panther hitters going 3-for-5 with an RBI.
Devin Rybacki and
Tyler Bordner chipped in with two hits each.
After 29 consecutive road games, Milwaukee will host UIC for a three-game series in its home opener beginning Fri., April 13 from Henry Aaron Field. First pitch Friday is set for 3 p.m.
