MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee men's soccer team will continue the quest for its sixth Horizon League Tournament Championship and 10th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history Thursday, traveling to Wright State for a semifinal matchup at Alumni Field. The contest will get underway at 3 p.m. CST.
As the No. 6 seed, the Panthers upset No. 3 Oakland on Monday, getting the 1-0 win on a goal by
Vuk Latinovich and an impressive showing by the team defense to secure the victory.
Freddy Lorenzen made four saves and
Alex Eastman made a key stop of a potential game-tying goal, heading a ball off the line late in the contest.
Thursday's affair will have an ESPN3 feed as well as live statistics. Check out the Milwaukee website for all links.
POSTSEASON UNDER KELDERMAN
Kris Kelderman has his team in the postseason for the sixth time in his seven years at the helm, including the title in a memorable 2013 postseason run. Overall, his team has gone 3-3-2 in the Horizon League Tournament. The last appearance prior to Monday was a tough 2-2 overtime draw with Detroit Mercy that saw the Titans advance, 5-4, on penalty kicks in the first round last fall.
The Panthers continue the trek to what would be a 10th NCAA Tournament appearance (2013/2005/2004/2003/2002/2001/1990/1980/1979).
