MILWAUKEE -
Tone Boyle scored 21 points to lead six players in double figures as the White Team beat the Black Team, 101-75, Wednesday night in the annual Full-Court Club Intrasquad Scrimmage at the Klotsche Center.
The White used a 21-0 burst to take control of the game in the first half, though the Black did cut a 30-point deficit down to 13 during the second 20 minutes.
Ja'Rob McCallum led all scorers with 26 points for the Black, putting 19 of those points on the board in the second half.
Ryan Allen added 19 points, Tony Meier 17 and Kaylon Williams 16 for the White, which also made 11 three-pointers in the contest. Boyle made five of those, including his first four tries of the game.
Lonnie Boga, James Haarsma and Ryan Haggerty all added 10 apiece for the Black.
The first-half burst of 21-straight points included four 3-pointers by the White, with Boyle hitting two and Williams and Kyle Kelm each knocking in one. A three-point play by Jerard Ajami pushed the lead into double digits at 24-13 and the three by Kelm made it 34-13. Boyle's fourth long-distance connection of the half made it 37-13 with 9:25 remaining.
A three-point play by McCallum did bring the Black back to within 41-20 and a long three-pointer from Boga made it 46-23. But, White scored the next seven points and then led 55-27 at the half.
The White pushed the lead out to 59-29 early in the second half, as Boyle scored on a layin following a steal by Williams. The Black did surge back from there, as a three from Boga made it 59-34 before a layin from Haarsma brought the Black within 61-40 five minutes in.
The Black continued to get closer, as McCallum and Haarsma both continued to heat up from the floor. McCallum made a nice slashing move in the lane to make it 72-55 with 10:20 remaining and Haarsma hit an 18-footer from the corner to bring his team to within 74-59 with 8:33 left.
McCallum scored again to bring the Black within 76-63 with 7:50 remaining, but the White surged back from there. Two baskets in a row from Williams pushed the lead to 80-63 and a 10-footer by Boyle made it 84-63. The Black did cut the edge back to 17, but a three-pointer by Meier with under six minutes left made it 89-69 and the White pulled away from there.
