Dombrowski Named To NSCAA Men's Scholar All-America Team

Dec. 20, 2005

MILWAUKEE - Senior Neil Dombrowski of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team added another honor to his growing list of academic accolades that he has earned this season. On Tuesday, he was named to the 2005 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Men's Scholar All-America Team as a Second Team honoree.

Dombrowski advanced to the national ballot after receiving NSCAA All-Region honors last week. The business major, who carries a 3.61 grade-point average in the classroom, keeps the academic awards rolling in this year. He has already been selected to the ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-American squad and the Fall Academic All-Horizon League Team.

To be eligible for the Scholar All-America team, a player must by at least a junior (academically), be at least a 3.30 student, be a starter and be nominated by an NSCAA member coach.

According to the NSCAA's website, the 33 honorees will be invited to the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, as part of the 2006 NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia, Pa.
