CHICAGO - Cheryl Hegemann had 19 kills and Leanne Felsing added 12 as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee claimed a convincing 30-16, 30-17, 30-21 win over DePaul Wednesday night at the DePaul Athletic Center.

The Panthers (12-7) made just 10 hitting errors in winning their fifth-straight match. They hit a season-high .416 in the contest, with Hegemann hitting a career-best .750 and Felsing hitting at a .611 clip.

Melissa Lange directed the effective UWM attack with 42 assists while freshman Becky Peters led the defense with 12 digs.

DePaul (3-14) hit just .065 in dropping its eighth-straight contest.

"We were very good from start to finish tonight," UWM head coach Kathy Litzau said. "Cheryl and Leanne were awesome and Mel did a great job of getting them the ball. This was certainly one of our best efforts of the season."

Game three was the only competitive frame of the match and included 13 ties and eight lead changes. UWM trailed 17-15 before scoring seven-straight points, including three aces by Lange, to build a 22-17 advantage. Then, after DePaul pulled back to within 23-21, the Panthers scored the final seven points of the game to wrap up the match.

UWM returns to league play Friday night, hosting UW-Green Bay in a 7 p.m. contest. The match is part of Panther FAN-tastic Friday at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
