CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State used a 21-3 first half run to build a nine-point halftime advantage en route to 57-34 victory over the UWM men Saturday night at the CSU Convocation Center.

The first-place Vikings (13-9, 5-2 MCC) led by as many as 25 in the second half en route to their ninth win in 10 tries at home this season. UWM (10-10, 2-5 MCC) shot just 23 percent from the field in the game.

The Panthers started strong, jumping out to a 9-0 lead and then building a 12-5 advantage with 11:33 left in the first half. But it was all Cleveland State from there. The Vikings built a 26-15 advantage on the strength of their 21-3 run, then added an 18-9 run to start the second half to lead 46-28 with 7:30 to play in the game. UWM could get no closer than 16 from there.

Chad Angeli recorded his first double-double this season, scoring 12 points and adding 10 rebounds. It is the third straight double-double for Angeli against Cleveland State.

Theo Dixon led all scorers with 25 points, including four three-point baskets.

UWM returns to action next Saturday night, hosting in-state rival UW-Green Bay at the Klotsche Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
