Evanston, Ill. - The UWM men's soccer team evened its record at 1-1 on the season with an impressive 5-1 win over Northwestern on Sunday.
"The performance we needed on Friday against Marquette, we got today," said UWM coach Louis Bennett. "We looked really good today, we still have some things to work on , but it was closer to the type of performance we expect."
Bobby Lish scored two goals in the game, including one in the ninth minute of the contest to give UWM the lead for good. Scott Dombrski added his first goal of the season two minutes later for a 2-0 lead.
Ryan Seymour assisted on those two goals, as well as the Panthers' next two goals, one scored by Blake Bostwick and then Lish's second goal. Daniel Savedra scored UWM's fifth goal to wrap up the scoring.
The Panthers are back in action this weekend when they host the Coca-Cola Panther Invitational.
