UWM Women's Soccer Defeats Dayton

Dayton, Ohio - The UWM women's soccer team improved to 5-3-1 on the season with a 1-0 overtime win at Dayton on Friday.

Freshman Katie Kubacki scored her first collegiate goal. Stefanie Hosni started the play when her shot in the 107th minute was deflected. Hosni headed the deflected ball, Kubacki collected it and fired in the gamewinner from 16 yards.

Senior Liz Ulicki recorded her fourth consecutive shutout in the match by tallying five saves.

"Liz had some great saves. She tipped one over the bar, had some great clears and punched some corner kicks out," said UWM head coach Michael Moynihan.

The Panthers play at Xavier on Sunday.
