MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee volleyball team won its seventh consecutive match today at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Panther Invitational with a win over IUPUI, 3-0.
The Panthers turned in a .386 team hitting percentage, their second best of the season. They were led by sophomore Laura Dallenbach with 13 kills, followed by senior Sue Rashka with 12 and senior Ericka Malterer with 10. Freshman Larissa Cattanach made her college debut with 4 kills and a .429 hitting percentage, along with 2 digs and a service ace.
Malterer Sets New Panther Career Digs Record
Malterer set a new UWM career digs record after chalking up 8 digs today, bringing her to 967 career digs. The old record was 965.
The Panthers will resume action tonight against the Eastern Illinois Panthers at 7 p.m. EIU plays today at 3 p.m., but were 2-0 in Invitational play yesterday.
