Panthers Pounce UIC, 3-0, in Final Home Contest

On a day where UWM honored its seniors, Katie Schneider (Sr., West Bend, Wis.) helped power the Panthers past Illinois-Chicago, 3-0, Saturday afternoon in their final home contest of the season. Schneider, UWM's career assist leader, handed out 40 assists in the match giving her 5,000 for her career. The win moves UWM to 22-2 overall, 9-1 in MCC play.

The Panthers took the Flames by storm firing out of the blocks to a 15-5 game-one victory. UWM kept rolling in each of the next two games winning 15-6 and 15-9, respectively.

UWM had a blistering .339 hitting percentage in the match compared to UIC's .129. Schneider also recorded three aces and eight digs in the match. Chrissy Schurla (So., Chicago, Ill.) hammered 18 kills in the match to go along with her seven digs. Sue Raschka (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) added 13 kills and eight assists of her own in the victory.

The Panthers next take on Butler on Nov. 12 and Wright State on Nov. 13.
