Oct. 5, 1999

MILWAUKEE - In a well rounded attack, the UWM women's soccer team posted a 5-0 win Tuesday night over defending MCC champions Loyola.

Five different Panthers scored in the game to help bring the season record to 7-5-1. The Panthers continued their dominance in the MCC taking their record in the conference to 2-0.

The five goal output was the largest since an 8-1 win over Loyola in 1997. "We had great determination in getting to the goal. It was an impressive win tonight", said Panther head coach Michael Moynihan.

Panther freshmen Emily Jessen and Kari Krzykowski both scored their first collegiate goals helping to lift the Panthers to the victory.

Krzykowki, the younger sister of UWM's all-time leading scorer Lisa Krzykowski, was able to score after a scramble in front of the goal led to an easy shot at the back of the net.

Amy Amy Oechsner and Rana Thompson added goals in the second half, each from thirty yards out.

"We were able to rest some of our players, and give others some valuable experience," Moynihan said.

The Panthers take on Detroit Friday on the road.
