Dayton, Ohio - The UWM men's soccer team clinched second place in the MCC with a 1-0 win over Wright State on Sunday.
With the win, UWM improves to 12-7-1 overall, 5-1-1 in MCC play.
Neither the Raiders nor the Panthers could score until the 84th minute. UWM's Tony Colvin served a corner kick to Evan Richardson, who headed the ball to freshman Chad Dombrowski. Dombrowski was able to put the ball in the back of the net.
The Panther defense, led by freshman goalkeeper Chris Dadaian, played well under pressure for most of the game.
"Wright State had the better chances," said Bennett. "We didn't play that well overall, but we were resillient enough to keep the ball out of the net."
The MCC tournament runs Nov. 4-7 in Indianapolis. The winner of the tournament hosts a play-in for the NCAA Tournament.
