MILWAUKEE - Tony Colvin scored two goals to lead the UWM men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Memphis on Sunday at Uihlein Soccer Park.
UWM improves to 7-4 on the season and are in the midst of a three-game winning streak.
Colvin began the scoring in the 11th minute when he took a cross from Bobby de St. Aubin and connected from 15 yards out.
The game remained scoreless until the 85th minute when Memphis' Sean Fraser chipped the ball over UWM keeper Chris Dadaian in a one-on-one situation.
"Just when I thought we had the game won, we showed a little immaturity on the field," said UWM coach Louis Bennett. "We've shown that at times this season. But it gave us an opportunity to show our resillience."
UWM's de St. Aubin had a one-on-one opportunity stifled in the 87th minute, but Colvin found the back of the net again in the 89th on a direct kick.
UWM plays at UWGB on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
