Milwaukee - The UWM men's soccer team improved to 11-6-1, 4-0-1 in MCC play with a 2-1 win over Cleveland State on Sunday at Uihlein Soccer Park.
"We played well," said UWM coach Louis Bennett. "For once, the statistics showed the outcome of the game."
The Panthers outshot their opponent, 28-6, and took eight corner kicks, compared with only one for the Vikings.
Joe Luedke scored his team-best seventh goal of the season in the eighth minute on a cross from Tony Colvin.
"That was a classic first goal," said Bennett. "That's what we practice, and that's what we got."
Blake Bostwick scored in the 36th minute on an assist from Bobby de St. Aubin.
"Again, it was a great goal. Blake got into the box and finished," said Bennett.
