A four-year track letterman at Milwaukee State Teachers College, Kishner set several school, state and national records. He was also the member of four State Conference Championship track teams and he led the team in scoring for three years. In 1936, Kishner ran in the semifinal heat at the Olympic trials in the 100-meter run. Kishner has remained active in UWM affairs as past president and vice-president of the UWM Alumni Association and as a former member of the UWM Athletic Board.
