Pitrof is a two-time All-America in volleyball, having led the Panthers to NAIA Nationals all four years of her career. She was named the NAIA National Tournament's Most Valuable Player, honored on the all-tournament team in 1984 and 1985 and named to the all-district team three times.
Pitrof also competed in basketball her first two years at UWM. While playing basketball at UWM, she helped the Panthers advance to the NAIA National Tournament in 1984, was named all-district in 1983 and 1984 and earned freshman All-America honors in 1983. In addition to athletics, Pitrof was named on the Dean's List and was a scholar athlete for two years.
