Lisa (Wszalek) Fischer led UWM to national tournament appearances in both volleyball and basketball during her career at UWM. In basketball, she still ranked in the top 20 in career scoring and the top 10 in career rebounding upon her induction. Fischer helped the Panthers to their first-ever post-season appearance in 1980 and to AIAW Division II State Championships in 1981 and 1983. Fischer also helped UWM qualify for the AIAW Division II Midwest Regional for three-straight years.
In volleyball, Fischer helped UWM to three-straight Division II state championships in the school's first three years in Division II. In 1982, the Panthers qualified for the NAIA Division II National Championship Tournament in Denver, Colo., the first time a UWM volleyball team ever qualified for a national tournament.
