Glowacki won four letters on the Milwaukee State Teachers College football team. As a starting guard on offense and a linebacker on defense, Glowacki didn't miss playing in a game for four years and usually played the full 60 minutes. He also kicked field goals and extra points in 1952, 1953, and 1954. Glowacki also participated in track and wrestling as well as Delta Sigma Kappa Fraternity, Phi Delta Kappa, Phi Epsilon Kappa and M Club.
