Named to the All-Conference basketball team for three years, Buehler was also the league?s top scorer for two seasons and a letterman on the gridiron at Milwaukee State Teachers College. After serving in the Navy in World War II, Buehler received his degree in dentistry in 1950, and then continued his athletic career by playing basketball in local professional leagues. A former member of the UWM Athletic Board, Buehler is a member of the state and national dental associations.
