Dufek, a marketing graduate, received four letters in track. He captained his team during the 1982 and 1983 seasons and was named an NCAA Division III All-American in the decathlon in 1983. He qualified for the 1981 and 1983 NCAA Division III national decathlons and won four of 10 events in 1983.
